IMARK Group Update – Healthcare Captive

Participating Members can expect savings on health insurance premiums

Like all businesses in the United States, BLUE HAWK Members are frequently faced with increases in the costs of providing high-quality health insurance for their employees.

The IMARK Healthcare Insurance Committee has been working on this complex challenge over the past few years. Their mission—to harness the power of IMARK Group in a way that helps member companies reduce and stabilize the cost of health insurance premiums.

Effective immediately, BLUE HAWK Members can now join a Health Insurance Captive administered by Pareto Health.

In an interview with Tom Barker of Mid-Coast Electric Supply, the chairman of the IMARK Healthcare Insurance Committee, he gives an update on this important initiative.

Start Your New Year’s Resolution Now!

What are you going to focus on in 2021?

  • Benchmark BLUE can help you take precise and deliberate action.
  • Benchmarks help identify where to focus by understanding where your performance lags to that of your peers.
  • For example:
    • Are you growing as fast as your BLUE HAWK peers this year? Median sales growth was 6.3% last quarter. If your growth was slower AND you were spending more on sales and marketing, you might look at restructuring commissions or repurposing marketing dollars.
    • Were you able to grow profits? Median EBITDA margins jumped up to an all-time high in the third quarter: 6.9%. If your EBITDA margin was less, you might look at where your expense-base is higher than your peers – both as a percentage of sales and gross profit.
  • Participation Fees for Benchmark BLUE are waived the rest of 2020 and throughout 2021, if you participate by the end of the year.

Schedule a 15-minute Zoom meeting with CoMetrics CEO, Paul Giudice, to tour the platform and see how benchmarks can help you make 2021 all that it can be: Meet with Paul

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

As a BLUE HAWK Member, you have access to benefits and resources that can make a difference for your business and your employees—the BLUE HAWK group 401(k) plan is one more important example.

What is a group 401(k) plan?

It’s a 401(k) solution that organizations can offer to Members, like you, to join—typically at a group rate. The plan gathers many tasks involved in operating a retirement plan and hands them over to third parties, like administrative and investment fiduciaries. So you get the benefit of offering a 401(k) plan to employees without having to own all of the work, responsibility and liability.

What’s your take on retirement plans?

We know a lot of considerations come with offering a retirement plan:

  • You may be comfortable with the plan you have.
  • Maybe you don’t think your employees would value such a benefit—or that your benefits can’t compete with larger companies.
  • Maybe cost is on your mind.

The reality is:

  • Your plan may be working—but in the group plan, you may be able to make it even better and save money.
  • Retirement plans are some of the employees’ most valued benefits.
  • In the group program, your plan is still your plan—and it helps you keep your competitive edge.
  • The group rate may be less than you’re already paying.

Strength—and value—in numbers

By joining the BLUE HAWK group 401(k) plan with Lincoln, you get:

  • Individual attention.
  • Access to potential pricing and service efficiencies—economies of scale—that you may not have by sponsoring a plan on your own.
  • The power of a group plan with the flexibility to customize your own plan design—retaining a design that’s working for you or changing to one that will. No need to forfeit your business’s distinct needs.

Meaning, you get to offer a plan that makes sense for you and your employees, vetted by BLUE HAWK and other businesses like yours, all at a competitive group cost for each business that joins.

Schedule 15 minutes with Andrew Thompson to explore what the BLUE HAWK Retirement plan can do for your business.  And check out this video to learn more about the value of group 401(k) plans.
